Mark Perry: Pastor of Faith Formation and Action

Pastor Perry Pastor Mark Eugene Perry was born in Alameda, California but has longer family roots in Washington State where his parents grew up and he spent many summer vacations. A "PK" (Preacher's Kid), Pastor Mark has lived in southern and middle California, and Phoenix, Arizona, where he went to high school and college, graduating from ASU in 1981. He also attended California Lutheran University his sophomore year.

Pastor Mark graduated from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA in 1986 and served a small congregation in Sylmar, CA for four years before moving back to the Phoenix metropolitan area to serve at a large church in Mesa, AZ for 2 years. He received a call to a mid-size church in Phoenix, St. Andrew, where he served for almost 9 years before receiving his current call here at TVLC in 2001.

Pastor Mark and his wife, Linda, have three daughters and, besides spending as much time as he can with them, he also enjoys running, backpacking, camping, the arts, movies and friends.

He is currently "Associate Pastor for Family Life Ministries" at TVLC, overseeing staff and volunteers serving in Youth, Education (including the Preschool and Library) and Contemporary Worship Ministries.
