Education
Tanque Verde Lutheran Church places a high priority on Christian Education for all ages. Programs for children ages 3 years through 5th grade include Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Our Milestone Ministry program is a series of worship and education events celebrating significant moments (such as baptism, Lord's Prayer, First Communion, Confirmation, graduation, etc.) in the lives of children from birth through 12th grade. A special worship service for Junior and Senior High students is available. A wide variety of Adult Education topics are offered on Sunday mornings.
Church Education Network
TVLC has taken a new step toward providing a major educational opportunity for our congregation. The council has agreed to a one year subscription to programing offered by Church Communication Network. CCN is a satellite broadcasting company based in California and offers about 200 programs each year, covering a wide variety of subjects.
We will soon be receiving the equipment which includes a satellite dish, receiver and 120' of cable. We plan to have projection capability in the gym and/or youth room in order to accommodate both large and small groups. The programing can be presented at time of broadcast or recorded for later showing. Lots of flexibility.
To make full use of the programs, we plan to establish a new ministry dedicated to reaching out to more and more people through the use of audio/video presentations.
