All children, ages 3 years (by August 31, 2009) through 5th grade are invited to join in the fun of our Sunday School program which meets every Sunday morning from 9:30 am - 10:30 am in the Chapel. All ages begin in the Chapel with a high energy Opening Celebration wherein children meet with their Small Group Leaders and participate in music, dramas, and the Bible story of the day before heading off to age-specific classrooms. Within age-specific classrooms, children engage in fun, fast-paced attention grabbing activities including games, art, storytelling, snacks, and science. All activities focus on learning and applying Bible truths to daily life and growing in our relationship with Jesus in a way that is comfortable and age appropriate for each child.

Tanque Verde Lutheran Church is committed to being a true sanctuary for all, both nurturing and protecting its members and visitors. Our Safe Community Policy helps ensure that the children and youth entrusted to our care are safe at our church, that parents are assured of their safety, and that the adults who work with them are equipped, protected, supported and held accountable. Therefore, all adult staff and volunteers who want to work with our children/youth must first undergo a strict and thorough screening process, including background checks. All adults who work with our children and/or youth are also thoroughly trained and closely supervised. Here at TVLC we strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your children as they grow in their faith and love of Jesus Christ.

If you have questions or wish to inquire about being a Small Group Leader, Activity Leader, or substitute, please call the church office at 749-1606 and ask to speak to the Heather Stein, the Director of Children's Education. We look forward to meeting you and your wonderful children.
