FAMILY PROJECTS:
This is such a great project for our families to participate in! Each age group, Lambs, Bunnies, Giraffes, Owls and the kindergarten will get the opportunity for their families to participate with a special holiday theme. We will have the Kindergarten families begin the family project. Each child in that class will be bringing home a turkey traced out of tag board to decorate for the Thanksgiving Holidays. These will be hung in Linder Hall for the Congregation and Preschool/kindergarten families to enjoy.

FALL FIESTA:
This year it will be in October from 9:30-11:00. All children are invited to attend as well as younger siblings. We are again asking each family to bring a non-perishable food. This was a wonderful success last year. This food will be used by the Community Ministry committee for the Thanksgiving food baskets they distribute to 85 families in the community. The items they most need are peanut butter, canned meats, and soups, but they appreciate anything!! We will have the courtyard set up for a morning of fun and fellowship. Snacks will be served. We will have fun and games from 9:30-11:00, Story Hour from 10:15-10:45.

SOCK TREE:
This is the 11th year we have offered this to our families. We will have a Christmas tree, pretend, here in the office. If your child would like to help "decorate" the tree, they can bring in a pair of socks to hang on it. We would like to have new socks. After school is out for the holidays, we will donate the socks to an organization that will distribute them to children who often go without socks. This will be a fun way for the children to experience the "gift of giving".

CASSEROLE SALE:
This is the 11th year we have had a casserole sale as a fundraiser. It is lots of fun and we will be getting matching funds from Lutheran Brotherhood. It will be held in December between the Church services. We will be asking preschool families to help by bringing a casserole. The pans will be provided by the preschool. The breads are going to be purchased from a local supermarket.

CHRISTMAS CHAPELS:
We will again welcome in the holidays with special songs, costumes, and stories about the birth of Jesus. Each class will have their time to share with parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors! It is a wonderful way to start the season!!

PRESCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN SUNDAY:
Our staff will be assisting at the 10:50 and 11:00 service on preschool Sunday. This is the 12th year we have participated in the service and we are looking forward to this special day. We are also including the preschool children in that service. They will be singing the Call to Worship and then joining their parents for the rest of the service. Between services we will be having cake. The children will be making projects to share with the congregation. We will have other special festivities to add to this day as we celebrate our 28th year as a ministry.

ALL SCHOOL FIELD DAY!!
In March, school will be closed so we can share this special day together! There is lots of planning that goes into having our Field Day and we are excited to have everyone working together to collect donations, prepare food and set up booths. We have a popcorn machine, snow cones and lots of fun!!

DAD'S BRUNCH/LUNCH DAYS:
Mark your calendars Dads as we have a special day for you! The Bunny, Giraffe Owl and Kindergarten dads will come in March for either brunch or dessert served by the preschool/kindergarten. This is our time to honor our special dads with food, songs and stories!

MOTHER'S DAY:
In honor of our very special Mothers, all the classes will have special songs, lunch, dessert or a snack time to share with their moms at the Mother's Day Parties. The children will soon be whispering to keep their surprises to themselves! If a Mommy can't come we encourage a child to invite grandma, Aunt, Daddy or another special person attend. We don't want any child to feel left out.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:
It will be held in June for a week from 9:00 am to 11:30. A child needs to be at least 3 to join this fun week at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church. All the preschool/kindergarten children are invited to join in the fun!
