Funerals at TVLC

Funerals are considered to be an important part of church life at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church. The Christian funeral is a service of worship and should involve all those present. Funerals are usually performed for practicing Christians who are members or friends of the congregation. It is recognized that complications in a person's or family's life sometimes make it necessary to perform funerals under other circumstances.

If you are a member of the congregation and a loved one dies, you are encouraged to call the church or one of the Pastors as soon as possible. If the funeral is to be held at the church, the Pastor will assist in all the arrangements for the funeral. In some cases, a gathering of friends is held in Linder Hall after the funeral. The Pastor will also discuss arrangements for this with the family.

If you are not a member of the congregation, you are invited to call the church office to talk to a Pastor regarding your needs.

Tanque Verde Lutheran Church Columbarium

A columbarium has been established on the property of Tanque Verde Lutheran Church to provide a resting place for loved ones of the members who have past on. The columbarium is a group of niches which contain the cremated remains of the departed. For more information, please call the church office at 749-1606.
